On 7 June, the 1st OVWG expert panel took place at the House of Sports in Vienna on the topics of player protection and sports sponsoring. After a keynote speech by Claus Retschitzegger, President of the OVWG, on the sponsoring activities of online providers, Josef Lässer and Johannes Schmied from CASHPOINT SCR Altach gave the participants an insight into the importance of sports sponsoring for Austrian top-class and popular sports. Afterwards Prof. Dr. Gabriele Fischer, the renowned head of the Drug Outpatient Clinic, Addiction Research and Addiction Therapy at the Medical University of Vienna and specialist for psychiatry and neurology, dealt with the topic of gambling addiction and player protection and gave an interesting insight into her work. We are already looking forward to the next panel of experts!
