During the event, Birgitte Sand, Director of the Danish Gaming Authority, explained how gambling regulation is organised in Denmark and what experience has been gained there. Denmark opened its online gambling market in a controlled manner in 2012 and has since then issued licences that are not limited in terms of quantity but are linked to high market access and player protection standards.
